Energy Savings

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is intended to provide building owners and operators a concise framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions. At TJEG we view LEED not as an end but as as means for creative solutions to obtain net zero energy and carbon foot print.

TJEG is committed to providing energy efficient air conditioning and heating systems, high efficiency lighting and low flow plumbing systems are but a few of the systems that contribute to an efficient building.

Other methods and/or systems implemented include:

  • 100% Outside Air Handling Systems with Heat Recovery Systems that recover and reject heat from equipment heat sources such as water-cooled condensers, refrigeration equipment and computer systems. This system was pioneered by TJEG and was given a First Place ASHRAE Award for outstanding achievement.
  • Displacement Ventilation promotes higher air discharge temperatures that equate to a reduction in both heating and cooling loads. This system improves air quality by 25% or more.
  • Thermal Storage Systems shift energy consumption from utility provided during high, peak cost hours.
